Born and raised in Dubai, Rebecca is an artist and educator with a Master’s in Art Education from NSCAD and experience teaching children in studio, school, gallery, and outdoor settings across Canada and internationally. She is currently part of the Saplings Outdoor Program team and also teaches visual arts to children in community and studio spaces. Deeply inspired by the natural world, Rebecca weaves her love of the outdoors and creative exploration into her teaching. She values building meaningful relationships with her students, supporting children’s confidence, curiosity, and connection through hands-on, play-based learning, and believes that creativity grows strongest when children feel seen, safe, and free to explore.

Parmis is a caring and creative person who loves helping kids feel confident, comfortable, and understood. She brings a calm energy, a gentle sense of humour, and a natural ability to connect with children in a patient, supportive way. Parmis enjoys being outdoors, creating fun moments, and encouraging kids to explore and express themselves. She’s excited to be part of the Saplings Outdoor Program and to help build a space where everyone feels welcomed and valued.

Ashley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Carleton University and is currently completing courses at the University of British Columbia in preparation for the Education program.

She is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys a range of seasonal sports, including skiing, golf, and tennis. Ashley is passionate about early childhood education and has several years of experience working with children in outdoor learning environments. She believes that risky play is an essential part of development, helping children build confidence and learn to trust themselves, and values being able to combine her love of the outdoors with her work with children.
