Lukas is usually surrounded by the arts, using his musical talents to connect with, and help people. His journey with (insert name of program) started with the completion of his diploma in counselling at Rhodes Wellness College. A He then jumped into running summer camps and canoe trips across Canada. Being surrounded by nature and sharing it with youth is important to Lukas as he spent his childhood on outdoor adventures and camping trips. He has worked in various settings from large day camps to individual children and their families. Saplings has given Lukas the opportunity to connect creatively with youth while sharing his passions for nature and music. 

Shirin has been part of the Saplings Outdoor Program since November 2023. Throughout her youth, she has volunteered with children, and she is currently working at the West Vancouver United Church as a church Nursery Leader. She is also on call as a Child and Youth Worker at Little Mountain Neighborhood House. Currently, she is studying English Literature at the University of British Columbia! She is incredibly excited to be working with children this summer and to be out exploring with them!

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda, I am currently a student at UBC, majoring in psychology and minoring in family studies. A few things about me is that I absolutely love reading, swimming (especially in the ocean) and baking. I have a huge passion for kids and I love working outdoors, and being in Saplings makes it easy to do both, I can't wait to see everyone this year
